Privacy Policy Overview
Our privacy policy adheres to globally recognized privacy frameworks and legal protections. Luxxle follows the principles laid out in the E.U.-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield frameworks, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as well as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We follow the industry best practices and commitments as outlined by the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) in the U.S., the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance, and the Ad Choices: Digital Advertising Alliance Of Canada (DAAC). Not only do we abide by the best policies concerning user privacy, we also empower our users with privacy tools that allow them to manage their data.
Our Main Privacy Principles
1. We anonymize all search data. Anonymized search data can’t be linked to the individual who made the search, which means a permanent record of what our users searched for isn’t being generated. This is critical to our commitment to user privacy.
2. All searches are secure and encrypted. We protect searches with an encrypted connection, shielding them from malicious interference.
3. Experience personalization is optional. Through your interactions with Luxxle, we can generate a user experience that is personalized and more engaging. Users have the ability to turn off this feature.
4. We don’t commoditize your personal data. We never sell any data to third parties.

We take important measures to protect your privacy, and only use the data we need to make Luxxle the best experience for you. We anonymize search data and encrypt searches. This means that your data can’t be intercepted by a third party and can’t be linked back to you.

With experience personalization enabled, we use data to refine the user experience to be relevant and meet the user’s objectives. We also utilize a small amount of anonymized information for internal purposes in order to make Luxxle the best possible experience. This data is never sold to third parties or advertisers or turned into a commodity in any way.
How does Luxxle comply with GDPR? Luxxle assures the data rights outlined in the GDPR for all users regardless of location. Only in some situations will a user’s control and access to their personal data be limited, and this is only when required by applicable law.

Personal data collected by Luxxle can be controlled by the user through the options described below:

1. For personal data collected with the user’s consent, that consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Third Party Sites When you select a search result with Luxxle, you will be directed to that website. These other websites are not under Luxxle's control. The privacy and security practices of websites linked to or from Luxxle are not covered by this Privacy Policy, and Luxxle is not responsible for the privacy or security practices or the content of such websites.
Does Luxxle use cookies? Cookies are small pieces of data that are stored on your computer from websites you visit. In our view, there are two types of cookies. Some cookies are “good” and some “bad”. Luxxle only uses “good cookies”, which are used to store your preferences like language, theme, etc., and they expire after you haven’t visited Luxxle for three months. Using these “good cookies” is the simplest way to store your preferences while using Luxxle. “Bad cookies” on the other hand are used to gather your data for sale to third parties. Luxxle does not use these.
What data is used when I make a search and who can see it? The only data that is used is the data that is necessary to generate relevant results and this data is always anonymized. Anonymized search data for instance is data that is stripped of all personal information, including segments of the IP address that personally identifies you. Additionally, because anonymized data isn’t personally identifiable, it means that there is no way to link your identity back to any search data. The partners we work with are trusted and they adhere to the same stringent privacy policies that we do. We share some data with them, which can include a user’s anonymized IP address, user agent string, search term, and other settings like country and language.
How does advertising work on Luxxle? Advertising allows us to make Luxxle free to our users. The ads we show in search results are based on your search query. When you search, ads may be displayed along with the results, or you may see ads in The Flow.
Changes Luxxle reserves the right to change or update this Privacy Policy at any time by posting a notice on the site.
